Ties

Postby Brosef Stalin » Fri Jan 13, 2012 9:19 am

I just played a very even matched game between Tom Busch-US(USA) and I(South America). We both ended up 85-85, He had .1 mil more deaths than I because he lost .1 mil from collateral. We had the same number of kills. The game gave the victory to him. WHY?!

Because scores are integers and as long as one player as a score > 0, there are no draws and a winner to declare is just picked. Fixing that.

May I suggest that Winners get picked by most kills, and if that is a tie, least deaths?

You may, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Just making the score a floating point number prior to display would be a better way to get rid of ties if one wants to do so.

Sounds reasonable. I have no complaints with how tie breakers work, just would like to know HOW they work. hehe

I think tie breakers should be another game played in reverse setup 8)
