...you never forget
Introduction:
So after getting alot more free time i decided to get back onto the defcon forums signed up to the 2v2 ladder, just in time as well organised to have a game today and waited around in the 2v2 server *snore*, myself and 3 of my team members were there but alas...no opposing team so (MOR) took me up on a little 1v1.
Defcon 5/4:
Crap!
Hyperion - Europe
(MOR) - South America
So the last time i played this set up i lost to Mojo in the last 1v1 tournament and came 2nd place and having not played for many months made me think *poop* ...doubly so with spectators and fellow 2v2 team members spectating ...so on with the war .
2 of my carriers went over Greenland, towards the Bering...2 of my subs made an early dash for Sao Paulo waters crazy sub captains and the rest of my naval forces all in the Atlantic
Defcon 3/2:
My lone battleships pushing towards the northern coastline of South America bump into (MOR)'s fleet too good to be true seeing as how i havent placed the majority of my subs yet...
As soon as defcon 3 hit they all went active and caused havok hoorah! it had to be a quick in and out assault though O_o for as soon as defcon 1 hit i expected the atlantic to fill up with those little white spots you get when you stare at lightbulbs for too long
Defcon 1:
My Bering carriers are making slow but steady progress and my Sao Paulo subs havent run into any carriers yet just to make sure my north canadian bombers are on route...and all is well
After getting too confident and splitting my forces, my canadian bombers get routed after unloading and its a skirmish...tug-of-war in the atlantic for position, both sides nuking the fishes.
Finally some enemy subs go off from the Indian...i smile to myself...subs in the Indian against Europe is always a no no but then i panic if there are any bombers on route from any carriers in the Indian but that fear is short lived and back to the big picture .
I take out his eastern radar and send whats left of my fleet down to meet my Sao Paulo subs , they make it unscathed and i begin my bombardment SUCCESS!!!...im feeling pretty comfortable now...i start to wonder where his other subs went O_o ...oh crap!!! ...5 or 6 subs surface off the coast of Portugal luckily i have bombers in the skies and fighters on alert and i take the subs out...phew...but not before they unload on western Europe
Not much left for either side to do now but launch silos...he breaks first i have my last bomber nukes inbound from carriers off Sao Paulo when he opens silos...what luck! i hit 2 or 3 silos but they get most of their nukes off my Bering carriers make it just in time to attack from the west as well ...but his stupid ocean nuking loses me a carrier
I launch my silos and all is won and over not bad for getting back into the stride of things.
Just like riding a bicycle...

Gee shucks  missed you too xander...any chance of another ambrosia tournament?
Probably not -- I have so little time right now, that I can't see myself organizing another tourny.
