well, was a great game, if not a tad long...

Rules were -

*Survivor
*40 Citys
*Pop. 150

the game started out with a quick round of diplomacy leaving me with cease fire's in effect with both North America and Russia, I had held back from a full alliance since I dont like to ally so soon, and of course reveal my silo's to my would be "friends"...

anyway, the game progressed with everyone chipping away at Northen African Radar sites and the odd city (although most likly to the plan of the African General, judging from his extreme southern deployment

Both Russian and U.S fleets had engaged in combat in the pacific which could only benifit me,

For the bulk of the game, my navy probed the African defence around South Africa, sinking the odd ship and suffering losses too, although both the African Commander and myself never commited to a full naval battle (I assume for fear of leaving our coast defenceless)

The turning point was a stike against all the major citys conducted by the African Commander, hitting Moscow, New York, San Palo, Mexico City...as soon as his silo's opened, South American subs off the coast surfaced and managed to knock out three of the six silo's. Had this been Default score mode it would have been an impressive strike and a game winner, however, I host with Survivor mode only

As this was going on, the US decleared the cease fire between us over, and right away launched an attack, Luckly for me i had been keeping a group of four subs off the coast and a constant patrol of 7 bombers (Armed) just out of his radar waiting for him to strike.

At the same time, possibly planned although im not sure, a large wave of African Bombers and the bulk of the Battleship fleet aproached my south east coast, the first wave managed to hit their targets, although a signifcant chunk was shot down, and a follow up raid later was intercepted without losses.

After the dust cleared, myself and Russia were the only nuclear armed powers, both with a full ICBM stockpile housed in our silo's.
After a rapid re-deployment from the pacific to the atlantic, my carrier fleet managed to scout 5 of the 6 Russian Silo's while Russia allied with Africa (whom i suspected of providing intel as to my silo Positions) Realising a first strike would have to be launched, I gave the go code and unleashed 6 ICBMs per Silo, then Switched back into AA mode

One factor which I didnt realise, my former Russian Ally had forgoten to inform his Defence grid that we had not become rivals (he forgot to un-click cease fire) and all my ICBMs passed untouched, effectivly dis-arming him.

Was a tense, but fun game!
