Effective target determination (me, Ace rimmer, nuke this )

This is a placeholder for the game I played 2 days ago. I'll post the debrief and the screens a bit later this night, after playing first.

But it's a first step in "getting it ready"

Ok. This took waaaay to long, as I simply forgot this debrief after a while

Defcon 5/4: being placed right between Ace Rimmer (EU) & nuke this (NA) as I was Asia I knew I would be attracting a lot of attention from both. I had to get points, and I had to get them fast.
Allying with USSR was high on my wish list, but before I could take any action, war czar requested the alliance. No prior chat, just 'requests to join your alliance', which incidentally was great, as I was attending to other stuff

Defcon 2/1 : I launched a lot of bombers and launched them perfectly timed I dare to say. By the time defcon 1 hit, many presents were inbound for Africa. At the same time a massive sub launch on both EU and Africa was conducted, with a high succes degree

I don't remember much after that, but nuke this was REALLY getting a lot of points while I for some reason ended up pretty low (even negative at some point I think). In the end I went from -30ish to 247 (though I might be confusing the negative-to-real-positive climbing with another game, as I took too long to write this debrief ).

Perhaps any of the other involved players can write what they remember?

Anyways, it was a great great fun game! Too bad Ace had to leave, but at that point I immediately decided I was going to get to Berlin first (as it was the only +2M city left).

Funny things to mention: I obliterated Africa, and hit it really hard. EU took some damage too I think (don't remember too well now ) but what I DO remember very well is that I sent out nukes to the west coast of NA, which was quite unprotected as I took out most of the big cities there (San Fran, LA come to mind). My subs off whac's coast hit a few high population cities first as well, which is what made me climb back up

Well, if I remember this game correctly then...

I was Europe (obviously) and about to reign down upon the USSR but decided that the bomber run for NA over Iceland wasn't acceptable and started to take it out while still allied. However, I didn't prepare for the reaction and summarily got kicked from my alliance and then pounded by everybody.

I was at the end of my defcon session and stated before the game started I wouldn't play through. So, I chalked it up to a lesson in being to cocky.
