Thindigital vs Schubduse

Hi all

Been playing a while now so I thought Id post my best victory so far..

1v1 - default settings, random territories gave me SA and Shub Russia

Now ive not played this setup much so i took it easy with withdrawn fleets in the pacific and battleship/carrier/sub rush through the Iceland gap

I spent a good while trying to get 3 subs through the bering (cus im a noob) and started sniping at his cities from the atlantic letting a few bombers run on as scouts - i managed to tag leningrad but in the meanwhile all my atlantic carriers bar one were destroyed (damn him and his fleet nuking - shudnt be allowed !!)

i think i took his atlantic subs at this point....

meanwhile in the pacific i lost out heavily to fleet nuking but managed to save 3 carriers, with these i tried to keep up CAP and a few bombers in the air to show strength...

at this point my sniping bmber force crashed into the atlantic because id lost the carriers to refuel them

so i just hung on - managed to get some subs above russia so waited for the vic timer -

approaching the timer he fired off i silo which i stupidly launched my arctic sea subs at - and got wiped out by CAP bombers :/

i decided to force the vic timer which in the end worked out well, i still had some fighters and managed to stop his pacific fleet bombers counter attack .... resulting in a close win for me

well played Shubduse - a gentleman player who now knows a few more english expletives lol

Well, I played a lot of games at this day, so I can't really remember details. I only can remember this: The hole time I was saying to myself, that I would win this game. His naval forces are almost gone: I will win this. I got two bases: I will win this. He has only two silos left: I will win this. VICTORY TIMER!!! Damn, I will lose this.
Sometimes I'm just too slow.
But no excuses here! Well played Thindigital! I'm longing for a rematch.

Notes to self: method to defeat Schubduse is to unload every last nuke to set off the victory timer
