New Personal Record

Postby Feud » Sun Jun 03, 2007 6:33 am

I'm house sitting for my Uncle while he and his family are vacationing in Greece, so I decided to see how DEFCON ran on his swanky computer. I was most impressed.

I was in a six player game, didn't recognize anyone in particular. I drew Europe from the random pile, and I realized that (since alliances built quickly which didn't involve me) that I need to be on my "A" game if I wanted to come through ok.

At DEFCON 1 I launched a massive bomber/sub attack on the Soviet Union, as well as a massive bomber attack on Africa and western Asia (random cities were on so I had a few more options). Once they had counter attacked I opened the silos and went for mid africa and India, ignoring any military targets, and fired subs on the North AMerican eastern seaboard.

I then sent carriers up along the north towards the far east, and a fleet down the atlantic (the america's were engaging Africa and another of my fleet by my shoreline, so I just went around. I caught SA with thier silos open and bombered a couple main cities, then pulled the same on Asia when I landed a major bobmer attack (twelve launches, twelve hits :D ).

The result:

A new personal high score for me, and very surprising (for me at least) since I was Europe.

I spectated a part of that game. It was interesting to see the score change as the game was synching up.
Suddenly Feud went from 98 to 228 to come to 490-ish when synched up ;)
I had the luck of seeing some nice bomber action though ;-)

Seeing as you got a screenie Feud it's probably unnecessary to put the same one up?

Well, the score shouldn't be differant between yours and mine. So if you want to put one up you may, but I'm not sure why you would.

I spec'd part of this one.

One interesting thing about this was that the Russian player in this game left for some strange reason VERY early on without placing anything, so Russia was as wide open as it could be.

Nice job Feud. I don't get to see many 500+ point games.

Here is my personal best so far. Not even close to the highest score ever but still respectable.Image
