Arabian Full Moon.

Postby Radiant Caligula » Thu May 31, 2007 11:19 pm

Hosted a game yesterday, a 2v2v2, credits and defection off. I was Africa teamed with Asia.
We decided to set up a fortress of 20 silos in Arabia and I said I wanted an all out on EU/RUSS at Defcon 1.
I maxed out my airfields and carriers and the rest subs in the Indian and a couple for Sao.

I noticed that SA rushed 3x6 battleships straight at Kinshasa at defcon 4. I had 2x3 carrs cornered and I managed to salvage some bombers from them come def 3. I had 1 sub off Kinshasa and detected 3x6 SA subs beneath his charging BS. I launched a swarm of bombers to counter his death charge and the BS was obliterated. I took out some subs with my pinging one. I knew he still had tons of subs hovering so I circled lots of bombers to cover. Defcon 1 and ha managed to waste every single one! He didn't get to fire ONE nuke from those. And he tried several times!

Now for the best part:

We launched a max attack at EU/Russ asap, all available bombers and subs. We launched 50% of our silos in turns in order to keep defenses up. EU/RUSS was hit so hard that our strike even worked defensively as we took out loads of inbound EU/RUSS bombers in a hail of fire. The sight was awesome.

EU/RUSS couldn't do much. They just had to sit there and watch the Full Moon of our Arabian Brothel rain down on them. By the end of our silo strikes pretty much everything above us was gone, both cities and hardware. Poor people.

Most of my points came from the reds, however I got Sao and some cities in SA but our intitial strike was the point breaker.

I cant see any possible defense for this except a total magnum counter, but even then the first man on the trigger will prevail...
I would suggest you try it, it's refreshing! :D :D :D

The first screenshot alone screams death.

Well done.

Gotta say, that's hella pretty! Definitely starting to warm to Africa, although I've heard so much moaning that it's the most exposed, most vulnerable continent etc I've found it can be pretty damn effective.

Am I reading the text correctly on the first screenshot?

It says "Gazillionplex dead" right next to the death toll for Kuibyshev.

You read correctly. A normal missle strike will kill tens of milliosn, or maybe even a hundred million. But the arabian moon kills in the gazillionplex.
