I really don't understand the mentality that would convince someone to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I mean, I wear a chute much of the time that I fly, but my most sincere hope is to never have to use it.


Well, you're not exactly leaving the plane to never see it again. The pilot doesn't leave! Anyway, skydiving is closer to just flying without an aircraft. Ok, so you're falling during it all, but you still have the freedom to move about!

And the only reason to jump out of a plane is exactly if you are never going to see it again. As in a wing has fallen off, or you are in a flat spin and too close to the ground. Parachutes are a safety device, not a toy! ;)

Hrm... I have already used that twice in as many days. I think I am going to get some mileage out of that. Though, to be fair, I probably need a "UR SO SPESHUL" version.
