Hyperion is a very poor loser!
This guy quit after only a few minutes into the game. He didn't even have the decency to say "I resign" or "gg" or anything like that. He started trying to get me to rush as soon as I punished his noob mistake of sending all his subs, with no protetion at all, right into my carriers. We were already going at 5x. Nowhere in my server name did I say it was going to be a speed defcon game. This was clearly just an excuse to be a poor loser and quit early.

Lol, ok...this is what happened. 2am in the morning. wanted to join Hanks game but was taking too long to spectate so joined his game (he was using some other name beginning with S, didnt care too much to remember but was just happy he wasnt a demo player), he asked how long id been playing, that he'd seen my name in the forums, was i good, he'd only been playing a week etc etc blah blah generally being polite but acting new to the game .
I was NA he was Russia, placed 80% of my subs to go past alaska and up north above him, most of my carriers around africa to hit him from the indian, 8 battleships, some carriers and more subs next to europe to fend off bombers...quite frankly id have crushed him arrogance aside i left the game because he constantly kept the 1st speed on during defcon 5...then let it speed a little in 4 then as soon as he saw my fighters (and he was rightly hitting my alaskan subs with all of his carriers which i thought was suspicious as he went right for them with all his carriers , but thats besides the point as i had bombers and battleships there) he kept speed 1 all the way through defcon 3 and wasnt even micromanaging to hit my planes (still had his carriers in anti sub mode)...i said 'i dont mean to be rude but i cant play a game all the time at this speed'...which are almost the exact words i used, polite i thought he said 'you need to relax'....'take a rialatin or something' (he said some drug but i cant remember what or how to spell it go figure, so decided not to waste my time and put up with a rude player, told him to enjoy handling my CPU and left. even the spectators were leaving because he wouldnt speed up. didn't even reach defcon 1, lol.
So yes...you didn't state that it would be a fast game...but you also didn't state we'd be playing virtually in office mode most players that post on these forums that i've played with can vouch that i am not a sore loser nor rude in games.
I rest my case.
EDIT: I also always use the same name

Hyperion is a very poor loser!
You're a complete liar buddy. For starters, we were going at 5x most of the time. I only slowed it down temporarily when there was contact. You didn't seem to have any problems with the speed of the game until you lost some subs due to your braindead play of sending them to my coast undefended, I guess hoping i had battleships there. That's when you started the whining and crying. You're the most pathetic poor loser bs'er i've met so far. I've met alot of cool people online and added some of them to messenger to arrange for games. Soon I won't be playing anyone but those I know have good sportsmanship and class.
As I said, avoid this kid unless you want to get quit on early or mid game. There's nothing else to be said on the subject. He's a complete liar and left only because he was losing. This post is to serve as a warning to others.

Indeed Jesus i do believe we should be having a rematch
1. My subs were not at your coast, they were going past alaska through the bering strait (something you probably don't know about) and i would have had 6 subs left. i launched fighters at your carrier fleet straight away so you would take your carriers off anti sub mode and give my subs time to get through where you wouldn't be able to follow...you kept defcon 3 the entire time at speed 1. When i left it had only just announced defcon 2.
2. You sent ALL your carriers unescorted (a very big mistake) and did not unload them to fight off my air power. I had 2 airbases just outside of your radar range near the bering strait which i opened up all my bombers in beam attack mode and was about to use my 4 battleships for cover against your fighters which never seemed to arrive.
3. Everything that i stated was said in the game and is exactly true and wish id taken a screenshot now, but didn't expect you to come straight here in the hopes of rallying some support against me, lol. Spectators in the game that can verify this: Bush. Glowing Orange. although the chances of finding them are slim given players change their names all the time.
4. I only ever lie in a multiplayer game when im trying to play players against eachother, ask Weps
5. I noticed this also but decided not to be small and belittle you but you have 2 posts to your name, have just joined the forums and the tone of your voice speaks for itself. I don't need to waste my time or anybody elses with this matter any longer I hear time and time again about players who are rude, obnoxious or ruin peoples games through spectator chat and besides the one time playing a multiplayer with Radiant when a game server named 'Mint' dropped the server because he'd been destroyed, i've never met a player like that before i'm only happy it took me that long to have to find one.
P.S. If you insist on carrying on this discussion then i invite you to feel free to set up a 1v1 match with me and we can have a few people from the forums as spectators

Merchant Park, Hyperion has been here since December. In that time, he has posted about games that he has won, and games that he has lost. Now, I don't know him personally, and I have never played him, but he has always struck me as a level headed individual. If Hyperion says that he was polite, and that you were a jerk, and you say is was the other way around, I am inclined to believe Hyperion. This may not be what actually happened, but he has credit here, and you do not.
If your goal here is to stir shit up with more senior members, I suggest that you be more subtle about it. On the other hand, if you actually wish to participate in the society that exists here, I would suggest a more moderate tone. Assuming that the latter occurs, welcome to the boards. You may pick up a flame retardant suit at the door, but I am going to have to confiscate your flamethrower at this time. It appears that it has not been inspected recently, which poses a danger to nearby rodents, holograms, and animated characters with delusions of world domination.

LMAO, why do I get the feeling you guys are a bunch of prepubescent 13 year olds? If you want to make posts to support your buddy Hyperion go ahead. It won't change the facts of what occurred. And you're right, I am new here, so what? Making more posts means the person is more honest? What a joke! I only started reading this forum to get troubleshooting info, not to join some Defcon geek club. I'm an adult with a life unlike most of you. This is just a game to me, nothing more.
Everything I stated in my post happened. As soon as I wiped out around 6-8 of his subs he starts whining and quits. It was only at 1x for like 30 seconds before he disconnected. The guy is a terrible player. Only a complete novice would send all those subs completely undefended to their doom like that. And it was very near the coast. Anyway that's neither here nor there the details of what was where. The point is the kid went running like a little baby and disconnected because he had an early setback.
This post was not intended to have a flame war with a bunch of socially-defective gamers it's meant to warn others to avoid this extremely poor sport who has no class at all. I won't be responding in this thread anymore.

You know, I don't think that you even read my post. Yes, Hyperion has been here longer and has more posts than you, but that is not why we are defending him. We are defending him because he has a history of honesty and good sportsmanship. You, on the other hand, are new here and started attacking him. Who should we believe? A senior member with a history of honesty and good sportsmanship, or a person that none of us have ever seen before? Who would you believe?
As I said, it may all have happened just as you describe. I don't know, I don't care. Defcon is just a game. I have had hosts disconnect many times when they were losing. It is a pain, but life goes on. After all, Defcon is just a game. Now, you are accusing us of being childish, but you are the one that decided to vent your frustration by making a big deal of it. Mr. Pot, let me introduce you to Mr. Kettle.
