I wasn't criticizing skynet at all, just posing a question.

Both he and Samurai have more or less the same tactics, although Samurai is more likely to rush head on with his entire naval fleet, 12 active subs and all.

Ace: That was more in reference to Hyperion's derision, which provoked skynet's response to which you responded with that question.

EDIT: That's one obscure sentence, there.

Lol, my apologies, it was meant to provoke Skynet  he generally betters me at the patience game when playing 1v1 matches and my comment was with regards to comments on Ace and Skynets match and the 'ships passing in the night' spectator report.

A. Jumping ahead early, dominating most of the game (score-wise) and laying waste to the other guys territory, including 60% of his silos.
B. Waiting patiently while the other guy exhausts his resources and a the last moments of the game makes a remarkable and concerted effort using only naval forces to lay relatively the exact same waste to the first guy.

Yes yes you waited thats very "skilled" but iF no one makes the first move we sit there all day. Second and this is the important part ....I STILL FUCKING WON AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yes, he did act like a 6 year old with ADHD; but as far as I can tell he's toned down his attitude immeasurably, and he has managed to prove that he is a very good player (1v1 at least), yet still you criticise his playing style?

Thanks buddha....I think. Besides I havent posted any comments for almost a week and the comments before that have been toned down. People can talk crap all they want about me but the fact remains only one player is consistently beating me, and that is countersmurf. My hat is off to him that dude knows his defcon! Radiant Caligula beat me ONCE after a very LONG game. If i was such a push over he should have been able to crush me within a few defcon hours. As for my rude comment, I feel they have brought color to the forum. This place was soooooo boring before i came along. You all might hate me but at least the comments are more interesting and it creates a little rivalry for game play. when ever i log on to play my server fill up with players and spectators withing minutes, and the first quesiont they ask is "are you that skynet guy fromt he forum?" I accomplished what i set out to do. I now have players who are worth there salt seeking me out to play a game. Maybe not all of you but its better then the players i was getting before i joined the forum. For those of you who are saying give skynet a break hes a good player but a little rude I say thank you its really just an act to flush out good players. To the people who like to say i suck just because they dont like what i type.....go fuck yourself's

I don't care about his tactics. All I know he isn't so successful against experienced players who knows how to be flexible. If he's winning and winning against a bunch of wannabes, it's all fine. But when he finally meets players with superior skillz, his defenses crumble like a sand castle. I'm sure he too will improve his strats, but until he tones it down even more and start reeling in all the big guys, he deserves all the horse manure he asked for.

I have nothing against him, I just don't like big talkers.

Ok you say im not successful against experianced players. Who are you talking about you have beat me once and contersmurf beats me.....like i owe him money lol. Everyone else i come across i beat with the occasional loss, and im not talking about demo players. No one is perfect i do lose once in a while, but if we are talking about consistency i usually win against the majority of the people i play. You guys might think my tactics are to straight forward, but they get the job done, and they do evolve. Some days i play one way and on others i do something different. OH and i have "toned " things down yet you people like to beat a dead horse. If you guys want me to be like i was before where i was talking loads of shit, and screenshoting my wins and posting them all the time keep telling me im an asshole and ill give you one!

Lots of love and kisses

If your server fills up with good players quickly as you say (and it didn't before as you say), then my hats off to you. As far as consistently winning, perhaps you should actually post a "formal" list of games vs. forum members and scores, then we could see for sure just how "good" you are. ?

The proof is in the pudding, and if you've got the proof, then why not lay it out?

I was doing that but then i had people like xander saying "

so i was trying to be civil and stoped doing that. Hey if you want me to post my victories i will. When i said good players before i meant people who challenge me but arent on the forum. Like samuri, warmaster or evilclown people like that. So you might not know some of the people i post. but i have beaten hyperion, xocrates, YOU, feud (only once for him but he beat me to) um....weps and homeowner (the last two was a long time ago havent played them since then.) Those are some of the players off the top of my head who i think you consider "good" players. I think if im beating players of that calibure its safe to say im not just a braging i am actually good . . I have a different time zone than england so i dont play those others that often, but I should be bumping into you alot ace since i live a state above you. Ill look for you. Let me know what times your usually on. :D

Well, you can post screenshots and a description of your end of the game, that is the purpose of this area of the forum. Past or present games included. xander was just making the point that brazen and blatant bragging is not.

Me is only two games, one of which you yourself didn't count, Only two of those mentioned I've never heard of, warmaster and evilclown, I'm sure there are others, but known or unknown I'd still read a decent debriefing of games you played. As far as listing victories, you could just stick to forum members and maybe Samurai (since he is known here)

As for play times, well that's late PM, early AM for EDT, and I believe you're going to sleep about the time I start playing most of the time.

The only exception is the occasional lunch break and now the 1st, 2nd and 4th Thursday out of the month. Those days I've started telecommuting. My (work) desk is literally five min from my front door so I haven't really taken advantage of telecommuting before now.

Hmm...seems like an idea. For each (or as many as are interested) players that are regulars of the forums and whose names can be verified as they usually play with them (will authenticate any screenshots) and each have a thread in the debriefing room with simple links to screenshots (not screenshots themselves as this would take up too much room in each person thread) and names with victories and names with losses.

e.g. (not actual scores, lol)

Victories:

Skynet 5
Ace Rimmer 2
Radiant Caligula 2

Losses:

Xocrates 6
Jesus 2

I think myself might do this starting from now. It should even help 'decide' who skilled players actually are. Although this can only be viable in 1v1 games as there are too many variables to claim a victory in a 6 player match.

Who is this applicable too or, where do these stats come from?

As i stated theyre not actual scores, merely an example. If i beat you Ace Rimmer ill place your name in my victory section and the number of times ive beaten you and post an end game screenshot link at the bottom of my thread with a date and if you created the same thread format id expect you to place me in your losses section. Its a completely un-supported idea but alot of people have mentioned a 1v1 tournament or table or even ranking system. this would help.

e.g. my thread 'Hyperion Win/Losses'

Victories:

(names and number)

Losses:

(names and numbers)

Screenshot links and dates:

(as stated)

This information if kept neat for players who wish to create such threads could also be put into a table of some sort.

the KOTH games list is very easy to keep track of. Impossible to argue with... Why not extract strats from that list?

The KOTH list is a possible idea but the settings might change things, i think every game in a players profile thread should be default settings, take jesus for instance...i took the crown from him but given more time he probably would have over powered me. I dont know, it was just an idea i threw out there. I am only going to do this for myself and would hope others would, it wouldnt be much work to do so.

Hey Radiant/Hyperion, how about using Amerigo Vespucci's log sheet?

Would be great for the KOTH.
