Round 2 was a 2v2 affair. JESUS and Weps were allied (JESUS was SA, Weps was Asia), against Rising Thunder (playing as MVPE in this game, NA again), and shoulders (Russia).
Defcons 5-2
JESUS had his silos set up in Brazil in a tight V group with airbases around them and he'd set up his navy in the Atlantic. Weps set up his silos and airbases in a pattern I'd never seen before, sort of a loos V-shaped pattern around the Indian Ocean where all his carriers and subs were located. Three silos were in Saudi, three on India's western coast, with all four of Weps' airbases in the Arab nations south of Saidi. Weps sent his BBs into the Pacific; he and Jesus were thinking NA would send ships south.
NA had another silo setup I'd never seen before. All six silos were in Alaska with the four airbases just east of them (sorry, forgot to capture a screenie of this setup). NA had a lot of ships spread out in the Pacific in groups of two or three. JESUS sent two groups of three subs north towards Bering. JESUS suspected that NA's silos were in Alaska based on fighter scouting he did while the game was still on Defcon 3 or 2, and he conveyed this information to Weps via the Alliance channel. Russia had silos set up in more or less a straight line in the center, just a little too far south and too far apart. Weps was able to spot them pretty easily. Shoulders sent his carriers in the Arctic north of his silos, and sent the BBs and subs steaming into the Atlantic.
Defcon 1
Weps started launching bombers before Defcon 1; his plan being to systematically take out Russia's silos. Shoulders and Rising Thunder launched a massive bomber and sub strike against Asia. Russia came in from the north, and NA came from the east
This attack was devastating to Asia. Weps was around -150 points (sorry Weps, can't remember the exact score) when this was all said and done, but Weps stuck to his plan and systematically took out silos. The silos were spaced far enough apart that Weps didn't have to worry about combined AA fire on his bombing runs. He also launched fighters off carriers to help fend off opponents.
JESUS managed to put 6 subs through Bering (two groups of three) and sent them on either side of Alaska, almost to the very top of the map. He was also sending three carriers and a couple more subs to the Arctic from the Atlantic. Rising Thunder put three BBs through Bering as well after JESUS had already gone through. Whether he was suspecting something was up or whether this was part of his plan to defend silo I'm not sure. He placed the ships between and south of JESUS' six subs. He initially placed his ships within their attack range of the subs but moved them further east. Rising Thunder's carriers, after their bomber assault on Asia continued harassing SA via bombers while shoulders' mass bomber striked continued pounding Asia. However, Weps was able to kill all six Russian silos and told JESUS he was ready to launch at NA as soon as the silos appeared.
Soon after, Rising Thunder made the fateful decision to launch his silos after JESUS launched bombers from his carrier group in the Arctic. Almost as soon as the launch detections appeared, JESUS and Weps launched (JESUS launched his sub nukes, Weps launched from silos), and in very short order all six NA silos and all four NA airbases were smoking ruins (so much for the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge as well
A masterful performance by both JESUS and Weps.
