Feud v. Skynet, Round 2

Postby Feud » Fri May 18, 2007 4:38 am

Skynet got his rematch tonight, and I'm afraid to say that he beat me.

After a twelve hour game he won by eight points (he lead by 2.3 million killed).

So the results are:

Game 1: Feud with a 27 point lead.

Game 2: Skynet with an 8 point lead.

I had wailed on him with my navy, then made the mistake of spreading them out when I went to scout. Since he was Asia and I was SA, I was far from reinforcements, and he easily decimated them with ground based aircraft.. I sould have moved them as a group, and concentrated fire power, but I got over confident (since I had sunk all but two carriers, three battle ships, and six subs of his with out losing a single ship).

Bottom line is that the game was mine, I got reckless and went the quick and sloppy way of doing things, then got burned because of it.

Congrats Skynet, it was a close game. I don't think either one of us can say definitively which is better (I'm sure we are both bias towards ourselves), but I think we can both agree that neither one of us can play our "B" game and expect to win against the other.

I would have to agree with everything here. Just played my first game, which he claimed didn't count as he was worn out and we played a long but hurried game after Feud left. Skynet won, but we made a deal that I wouldn't post it (before the game)

Definitely not the greatest player around, but can be a rather good opponent. I would say the same of myself.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast...
