Well, don't know if anyone's played many rounds of a setup like this, but I've been having a play with the game settings and have come to the conclusion that the following setup is hilarious:
3 Players
2 Territories per Player / Random Territories
No Defection / Team Switching Off / Radar Sharing Off
Genocide Scoring
45 Minute Max Game Time / 45% Victory Trigger / 45 Minutes Victory Timer
45 Cities per Territory / 200% Population / Totally Random Cities
Credit Mode On
World Scale 45
You end up with something pretty ridiculous; around 280-odd credits each, each radar station covering a good 10% of the entire globe, sub MRBM ranges that put cross entire continents and the possibility of massive fleets of carriers, airfields or subs.
Sounds daft, but it's actually bloody good fun (at least for the only semi-serious Defcon player like myself. Hardcore strategy bods may find it lacking the immediacy of Orgazmo but without the depth of a normal or Diplo game).
Just had a game against a chap called Gidday (who dropped when pretty much both his continents got flattened with 5 mins to go), and a CPU stand-in. Was a hoot!
