I think his point is that somehow by beating you in such a pointlessly arbitrary way, he is ahead of you in the great game of life. Presumably Defcon games equate to several points in your afterlife highscore. It almost makes up for the child abuse.

Easiest way to get rid of Trolls is to knock down all the bridges. Once you destroy their natural habitat, they don't survive long. Either that, or you need to persuade more goats of the grat big billy-goat gruff variety to move into the area.
