The only other reason i might have booted you is because i was playing a friend. To make a long story short the challenge still stands............BRING THAT SHIT! ill try to remember your name feud and be on the look out for you.
The game began with Skynet as Africa, and myself as SA. I will let him tell his own story, so here is what I did.
I placed most of my fleet just off of Sao Palo, with another fleet near Venezuela, and a fourth fleet off of Chile encase he got sneaky and sent something the long way around. My subs sailed west across the Pacific, towards his east coast, while a fleet moved down to secure the Strait of Magellan.
I shuttled my bombers from Chile in to the Atlantic, and began to engage his fleet with a series of tactical nuke strikes. He was using a spread fleet set up, so my six ship fleets did well against his fleets of two or three. He did take out more bombers then i would have liked, but all in all it was not too bad.
I then began shuttling fighters from my land bases to my fleets in order to scout, which unveiled two airfields, and two radars. I hit the airfield in Zaire first, but the other three, located in the Sahara, would have to wait. I tried to Launch on his east coast with my subs, with only limited success. I hit Cairo and a couple other places, losing all hands int he process, while another group hit South Africa. The southern group found considerably more success, and razed the landscape pretty good.
He then announced that the "fireworks" were about to start, and launched a full silo spread. This revealed that he had built a silo spine down the middle of Africa. Good news for me!
His strike did hurt, but did considerably less then I think he wanted it too (I think this since he said so). He then tried to sub hit me from the Florida coast, but I was ready. Two bombers with charged nukes were already overhead anticipating such a move, and the nukes combined with a nearby fleet quickly anniliated his sub fleet (one managed to launch some, the other did not).
I then used my bombers to pick apart his radar and airfield coverage, when suddenly the VT showed up. I quickly switched my silos over, launched a full spread of cover fighters, and let fly. My cover fighters and a fleet ran smack dab into his bombers in bound for my silos, and they were quickly destroyed. My ICBM's easily worked their way down the spine, eliminating each defending silo, and then Africa was defenseless. The rest of my missiles found their targets, and the game's fate was sealed.
Had I more time, the score would have been larger, I still had around twenty or so nukes 9despite what the counter said, my western fleet was still fully loaded as was my southern fleet, plus a few scattered nukes in airbases), and the bombers to send them. But, that's not how the game goes, so I'll be happy with the result as it is.
GG Skynet, you did put up a good fight. If you would like a rematch, I will be on tomorrow around 8-9 PM my time (US Pacific Time Zone). If you have a game hosted, I'll find ya, if not, look around for me. Or PM me to set a concrete time.
