I'm Europe and Hank is the USA. We both place our navy and some units but hold out for the other to dump silos and remaining radar/bases till the very end. It was a good game of chicken as the Defcon 3 clock got closer and closer. I didn't want him seeing my units and then dropping from the alliance to place his, thus having the secret placement advantage.
Somewhere around 30/45 seconds till defcon 3, I slap down everything but silos. Still no N. American Silos.
25, 24, 23, 22..... the clock ticks away...
As Europe, I know I have to have a couple seconds extra because of the small size and with less than 20 secs to go, one misclick might mean 5 instead of 6. At about 10 seconds to Defcon 3, I quickly lay down all six and look up to see two seconds remaining. A quick glance at the USA, heh only four got in. Hank was at a real disadvantage.
I set up to hit the USA and Africa first, S. America drops and not too long after Africa defects. We all let the CPU unload 60+ nukes at Africa and I put the new blue S. American territory under ceasefire to let each and every nuke go on its merry way to Africa.
I was able to sneak one lone sub into the Hudson and nuke away Hanks northern Radar and only base before he surfaces subs off my norther coast and I defect. Russia and Asia quickly join up with me. Its only a matter of time before its the newly formed yellow alliance left. Russia requests to kick Asia, but then I get booted. No matter, six subs and eight carriers were already on standby to pick off Russia. Then he requests to join and I let him in only to sit by and watch Asia mass launch on my neighbor.
Just when my bombers reached Moscow, I surface my subs and start nuking away installations and cities. Surprisingly Asia joins me and then defects. ?
In the end, Hank finished second (even though he left). It was a real good game. Thanks Hank!
