Seppuku - Death of Samurai

Postby Ace Rimmer » Mon May 14, 2007 7:14 am

After being beaten the first time I met Samurai, I promised that the next match would not go quite the same. I was able to follow through on my promise. Below are screen shots of the game.

At Defcon one, I did what comes natural to me, used all twelve subs in unison against everything I could see in western Russia followed up by wave after wave of bombers until only one silo remained. That last silo was too far (central) north to risk bombers without escorts, so I opened up five silos and fired away with 4 bombers headed due north. Their only mission was to find and eliminate silo number 6. I fully expected him to take them down with fighters but apparently he had sent his entire fleet around Europe/Africa to come into the Indian. Needless to say, as soon as I spotted it, four nukes meant the beginning of the end.

Having launched nearly all of my nukes, I knew it was only a matter of time before the vic timer started and there would be nothing he could do to catch up. As he approached my coast, I swung my closest carriers around behind him to pick off his bombers. I wasn't going to let him coordinate a bomber/sub attack on my silos like the previous game. He shut down the server so I wasn't able to get a game over screenie .

What, Seppukku and no death poem?

Did he make both cuts or did his second need to step up after the first (cut)?

May the blessing of the bomb almighty descend on us all, this day and forever more.
