Postby creator » Sat Apr 28, 2007 4:21 pm

the server shutdown 30 second after this screenshot was taken...i was so close to doing my backstab on europe. now all the nations had fired their nukes apart from europe and me (russia)...so if the game had continued who do you think would have won?

what puzzles me the most is what you were doing with 6 full subs down in India (as Russia) this late in the game.
Holding on to 6 subs for the end game isn't necessarily a bad thing, I just think you could have found a better target zone for them. It doesnt appear to be tons of points within striking distance and I'm pretty sure you could have been in a clear lead already had you found another safe place to unleash them earlier in the game.

(why you had 6 subs in one group in the first place is another issue, but that is a completely different discussion)

If were talking strictly in terms of backstabbing for the point lead... It's hard to tell for sure, but if I were the Europe, then Russia would have already been dead and if I were Russia, then the Europe would have already been dead.

The silo placement of Europe, the 6 Russian subs in the India, and Europe's carriers would seem to give Europe the advantage.

bah, anytime im doing a backstab in that position, i declare the bombers are headed for africa to finish him off ( no matter how dead he is ) and then have them completely destroy the silos and critical radars, had you done that you might have been able to hit the east enough to get get enough points to lead and start endgame timer, also launching some of the 6 grouped subs at india at east EU, claiming for asia while the bombers are nearing :P

that might have gotten you 1st
