Since it was a 1 vs 1 I always play as if it were survivor mode.
I was lumped with the EU
As the game began, I arranged my defence's, holding back a single carrier group (three ships) and a group of four subs, which I started on the long journey over Canada and down thru the strights, this was to be my "Plan B" attack to catch SA off guard.
With my remaining ships (always grouped in three's) i arranged a semi static defence with the aim of intercepting and attacks and blunting them with massed bombers...nothing new there then....
After what seemed like the first wave of battleships were wiped out, i moved forward my own Battleship line, only to have them nearly wiped off, I withdrew and took stock of my losses.
Then, to my suprise SA opened up 5 of his silo's for a quick hit on london. My subs already in position in Cuban waters let loose their birds and leveled two of his silo's and a few citys in Central America, so far so good...
Anyway, the remaining game was a played out with small probing attacks in the Atlantic between our two fleets, as these probes kept SA busy my carrier group had already made it into the pacific and past Central America, just when SA opened his 6th Silo my Bombers were in position to knock it out rather quickly (lucky me)
I kept SA busy with intermitent 5 Silo strikes, tasked against his own silos, reducing their numbers to 2 or 3, about this time I scouted the forward radar using my pacific fighters, then launched all 6 silo's, carrier based bombers in the atlantic and pacific. This reduced the silo count to 1 vs 6 in my favour. Victory timer was hit, just as my last group of subs enter ranges, hitting every city in Central America and southen American citys.
Anyway, good game
