How I Learnt To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (700+)

Postby Hank Scorpio » Thu Apr 26, 2007 4:38 am

Hank Scorpio never fails to satisfy, bacon or no bacon.

The scenario:

- 6 cities.
- 200 population.
- Hank Scorpio in Asia, fully strat to pull off a Hanky Panky.
- And add in a Defcon bug.

Now, as most regulars know, I love rolling Asia. Asia makes me hot and sweaty in my pants, ready to pounce. Be careful any orifice around, when I have Asia.

So, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, boom, Defcon 5 the game starts. I hover over territory to find out where your new Commander in Chief stands. I got a little hard when I see its Asia.

But, what's this? No cities? Wah? That's right, every other continent apart from Asia has cities. So I move my mouse over where Tokyo would be, err, -48.8 million people? Minus? Come again?

So, I prepare my strat for a full Hanky Panky explosion of love and joy to the land. Subs in Indian Bay? Check. Silos west of India? Check. Battleships and Carriers in Indian Bay to protect subs? Check. Airfields just behind silos? Check. No cities? Mo-farkin check!

I tell everyone that I have no cities, but the delightful chap, Joop starts to get angry. Saying, which I'm sure are throw away comments, and noone would want to upset the Glorious Hank Scorpio, 'this is silly' and that I should have 'no confidence'. Pfft, no confidence my ass. I come in with 100% confidence every time.

Defcon 1 rolls around. I unleash the Hanky of the Panky type ruining the game for everyone apart from myself.

Then people start to nuke my non-existant cities, which gives me more points whenever they nuke, and they lose points! Huzzah for everyone!

Here are some wonderful screenshots of the sexual event that just occured (Thanks to BenDover for these pictures):

Running 1.40. Not the betas or anything. Everyone could see that I had no cities.

You too can have negative cities! Reproduced at command!

I say its a game feature, not a bug.

Good thing it wasn't survivor scoring...

Did you consider nuking yourself? It's two points per megadeath.
