1 Day 2 Great games :0

Postby Gen. Ripper » Thu Mar 29, 2007 7:06 am

well, had two great games with great people,

The first game ( before work :/ ) was a rather long and dilpomatic affair, with an "Overt" Green alliance of three and then three smaller indipendnt nations, each however with cease fires,

myself (SA - my fave position) had cease fire's with Africa/North America/Asia and later with Russia, the EU although not directly attacking me was held up with NA's navy and wiped each other out

The game played out with the green alliance attacking Asia first, and over time taking him down to two silo's thoughout this war, both myself and NA were in constant talks with Russia and Africa over water disputes and manovering our fleets to probe each other, a battle ship was lost here, a bomber there, but no full scale war devolped. When untill my northen carrier, playing advanced radar for NA in the baring strights was sunk by Russian bombers.

This sparked the full scale war which led to Russia and myself exchanging ICBMs, I had parked fout subs off his coast, and managed to get two or three silo's down, and inflict a few city hits. the only other fleet assets in the area were a group of three battleships and two carrier's, after encountering Russian fleets, they precedied to wipe out three soviet carrier's and a battleship, not to mention scout the russian silo and advanced radar.

Anyway, to cut a long story short (since i seem to be telling a story from a film or book) here is the finial pic, I had to leave for work and whicn "forced" me to commit to a rushed job and a full silo launch (thus leading to my demise) but the game was enjoyable never the less :)

The second game, (just played now) was also a great game, now back from work, joint smoked and a small pill taken, i retreated to Defcon :0 (not to mention winamp)

anyway, I tried my hand at the art of deception, and the lowly backstab

anyway, I was given the EU (my worst Nation) and imidietly asked for a russia cease fire, (I had seen to many games end quickly via a EU/Russian war, and had no intention of lossing my ICBMs so soon)
after that, and alliance offer came from NA, mmmm I declined, yet asked for a cease fire instead, which we both accepted, at this point NA's Ally, SA decided to cease fire with me too.....I thought....why not, and asked Africa (the last nation, since no Asia) and he accepted to, I was cease fired to all

Well, the game progressed, SA and Africa hit it off, while Russia moved his fleets to the pacific and main atlantic, NA sent bombers and this led to a full scale silo strike against Africa, and later Russia (which my AA let past) by this point I had subs off cuba, and above canada (not to mention four behind Russia) my main fleet was set defending the UK-Iceland gap and controling the passage, only russian fleets passed (later to be used and lost to NA fleets)

As the NA-SA vs Africa war died down, both sides had expended their ICBMs, only myself and Russia had a full stockpile......now...I thought...lets get him to fire his off, make sure the target cant respond, and save 1/2, since, you never know....

so, we launch a massive 11 silo strike (aided by 4 subs above Canada and one below cuba) against the revealed NA silos (SA's having been wiped out in a Sub launch, since they had dropped :/ ) this blow to NA of course left her defenceless and she suffered a massive hit. I had by this point closed my silos and watched my Russian friend empty his remaining silos on NA....

Then my trap closed, I aimed the remaining 35 ICBMs (aided by another four subs) and totally dis-armed and hit all major citys in Russia. The remaining opposition was slowly mobalised (a few local bombers) which by the time they arrived, my silos were in Defence mode again.

All in all a sucsessful game, of almost no fighting (my fleet had not moved from their deployment (save the subs)

Thanks to all who I played (and sorry for the backstab!)
