We had Asia (myself), EU, Africa and South America
Game started as a FFA, and then looked as if a 2 vs. 2 were about to develop with EU and Africa vs. Asia and SA, I deployed my fleet as I watched SA deploy his silos. After urging him to deploy his entire fleet in the Atlantic, I left the alliance (complete with my Intel on his placement!) and secured a cease-fire with Africa (and I had hoped EU)
I had (as normal) started with a statement claiming I would only attack other’s if I was attacked first by them, this seems to work early on, although the EU started by scouting my land and this escalated into hostilities.
As the EU (with the help of Africa) and SA clashed in the Atlantic I sat back and maintained my defence (and ceasefire’s with Africa) after the bulk of the fighting was over, the SA fleet was wiped out and a large amount of ICBMs had been fired off at each other, normally at this point people realise that im just sitting on my stockpile waiting for the victor to emerge and target me.
However Africa had begun to worry about an EU backstab, and we agreed to move our two fleets in the Indian Ocean towards EU, which must have sparked him to attacking, with a rift between the two allies I brokered an alliance between SA and Africa, targeting the EU (while I continued to leave the bulk of my own forces on defence).
I had already engaged in hostility’s with the EU having flanked up the baring straight and wiped out a group of 6 carrier’s and three subs, and with my forces (1 battleship and three carrier’s) so I was seen to be helping the fight against the EU and lessened my chance of being targeted J
After the EU had been dis-armed (only three silos remained with a limited stock of ICBMs) we all sat back and waited, I had already scouted the forward African radar’s with carrier’s passing at distance, and was expecting an attack (which came)
Just a standard attack, since Africa had no idea of the locations of my silo’s once they had expended their ICBMs (from three active silo’s since the remaining stock had been used against SA and EU) my defence cleared the sky’s and then a counter strike wiped all the African silo’s out (the timer had started by now) and having secured my lead sat back and watched while the counter deceased
