Game 1: The alliances form and I sit back and watch as my two allies keep Europe/USSR busy. It isn't long before Africa's navy appears and an intense naval battle for the south Atlantic ensues. Thankfully, I emerge victorious and begin mass sub nuking the western portion of the jungle.
I have 4 subs traveling through the straight on their way to sit atop Europe/Russia for the endgame. I am hoping that the long trip isn't wasted because nothing is left to hit when they arrive.
At the very end I begin emptying my silos at Europe and time my subs to send in their payload mid-silo strike. I'm not sure how Tremblor only managed 23m kills, but at least he didn't backstab. More surprisingly, I don't recall ever seeing any subs surface on my western coast.
Edit: Hmm... I just realized that the 16m collateral deaths cost me the win. I have no idea where those came from.
Game 2: 2v2v2 140m pop
I end up as Russia and Mr. President as Asia and I quickly request to join. The Americas join and secretly I'm hoping that Europe and Africa join, which to my surprise they do. I love being Europe or Russian and wiping out the other. That's exactly what happened.
Defcon 4 Arrives and I access my position. One battleship (for scouting purposes) in the Atlantic show no naval presence. I try to contain my joy with the thought that perhaps he is hiding from me (as I was from him) and waiting to pounce at Defcon 1. After a couple of minutes of debating with myself, I measure his radar coverage and decide to put everything just outside his eyes.
Defcon 1 arrives and 10 of my subs surface to grind Europe into dust with the help of every bomber I could spare (all airborne). Without Africa as an ally, I couldn't see a couple of his silos and bases, so loaded bombers had to scout while the nukes were flying.
Europe gave me enough points to let all of western Russia smother under a cloud of fire and radiation and still reign victorious. Once most of my population was gone, I opened up my silos and synced them to hit the bigger eastern USA cities and Mexico to secure my lead early. N. America had put two silos in Alaska so I knew I could definitely get through at most 4 silos. I had two subs over Alaska but didn't make the best use of them against those silos.
The rest of the game, I sat back and defended myself from green and yellow who were bent on wasting nukes trying to take me out. ?
I'm pretty sure this game Mr. President came from behind (negative) to place second. It might have been the one above.
Game 3: Five player Diplomacy game. I'm Asia and countersmurf is USSR. I briefly debate about leaving the alliance since there's no African threat, but decide to play the old fashioned stay green way. I should have left as I get kicked. Countersmurf states privately he'll join me if I want, but it's too late. 11 subs have already surfaced and targeted Russia and 4 bases are finishing unloading Russian bound bombers.
As the dust settles from my attack, Europe and Russia go at it and the Americas just sit back and wait as far as I can tell. Countersmurf and I ally and I deviously re-target about 12 bombers heading for Europe new Russian assignments. He was quick to notice their change in approach and defects.
It was a 5x min speed game and countersmurf didn't place any naval units that I'm aware of. Perhaps subs? Anyway, that makes it all the more surprising that Europe managed 0 kills.
I had 4 carriers in the Pacific and Indian sending bombers to S. America, but he was able to keep his forces in the right spots and shot them down before they could do any damage.
