I used laptop with different IP for ghosting. I was fully understanding what i'm doing, and I banned other people for this on my servers.

I do not think this should be forgiven so quickly. It really has exposed a rotten and very hypocritical core of the DEFCON community.

To be fair he's still one of the best players ever IMO.
But this is the problem with defcon and why it's dying:

It's too damn competitive. You win everybody hates you you lose you get called a noob etc.
So many people want to beat so many others it's like a mad house. Cows told me it took 1 year for him
to beat his friend baton. One year. 1 year of trying. Point and case.

And don't get me started on noob bashing. New players buy the game, join a 1v1 and get their fleet
killed in 2 minutes. Then they get send into the far away minus. For some like me that helps to make me
want to be better but most quit right then and there. Because it's so competitive players tend to want to cheat.
And good players who have a good track record - want to cheat even more.

That being said, i will ask my isp for a second ip jk

But u guys need to take account that he adimitted it, he wasnt caught or anything like that. Everyone needs a second chance.

He had the balls to make this post, but that means nothing to me until everybody punched him in his face as hard as he can. So do your duty if you have sympathy.

And like he pointed out himself, he is not only a cheater, but also a server host who bans others for lesser things. It's a fucking scandal!

Yes...but consider this:

a) He only did so when caught.
b) Your average person would not be given a second chance, or at least a ban for a few weeks.
c) He is in a sizeable position of power and influence on the forums and in-game servers, even looked up to by some around here. For him to abuse this is, in principal, not right at all.
d) He has somewhat wasted the time of other members of this quite close-nit community without their knowledge.

Yes, it's just a game...but on principal really disappointing.

Laika, you should hand over ownership of your servers to one of your admins for a period of six weeks.

I am willing to forgive if he plays a game with me, loses to minus score then i have a screenshot with doctor 200 dog -100.
