MOR killed DEFCON with the BOR in the tourney

Who has realized that DEFCON has reached its "KILL_SCREEN" - well me

I am playing omaha poker now and waiting for sim city to be hacked and downloadable.

I will be back if I go broke or sim city is shit while i wait for GTA5.

honestly my husband is mad at me for spending days playing the tourney and has questioned my love of DEFCON over our family! So to appease my man i promised i would not play for a few weeks! Mrmot knows what I mean i am sure, cya next time the old fucker goes bowling!
i know i should not

I have to say I agree with Moth about the BOR killing Defcon. We had a lot of pros playing early this year and in the tournament and then it happened. It's not just MOR's fault: almost all games I played were 4 hours and involved the other side hiding subs then slowly whittling the defence fleet down with multiple refills. No one wants to play games like that after a day at work.

Even Defcon masters like Senator seem to find the games go on far too long, including far too much speed 1 to be fun and compatible with real life. I think part of the problem is the standard is so insanely high: play Laika or baton 1v1 in one of their specialist set pieces and it requires 2 hours of almost flawless play to win. At least R3d makes mistakes occasionally. Introversion can never have imagined the level it would reach.

We could certainly never have a successful 1v1 tournament as what would happen is one player scores 97m and then we have 3 hours of sub nudging and refilling until some one has to leave.

I don't think there is anything to be done about it, just leave Defcon mostly to the noobs and play friendly games. I will be on today! ;-)

Hahaha shame, I still have problems with my provider, they restart my connection in random times during the day and for that I stopped playing

I also can't change the provider we have only one with the ADSL the others are with 3G or 2G, then no way than waiting for them

If me/bor who killed the tourney then the tourney will be good without my presence, but it was the versa.. When I stopped playing the tourney get less of activity

It's nothing about bor causing this, and I'm sure anyone enjoyed his games even against me :P

cant wait for Sim city too Moth. I will be buying it though, unless you can point me to some sort of virus free website. One of the best games ever. Better than defcon in my opinion. I participated in the Beta and it ran extremely slow. If that is how it is going to run on my computer with the finshed version i will not be buying the game.

Been playing a lot of simcity 2000 last few weeks (win 95 version). Have to say not looking forward to the new one, nothing can beat the 2000 version for me.

Here is some nice defcon walpapers I found on the internet.

SimCity 2000 is great. I keep an iBook G4 around so I can play all my old Mac games when the urge strikes. I haven't forgotten the rest of the panels, btw, just been having crazy vertigo for a week in addition to my work. I'll try to get to it by the weekend.

No worries, I stopped drawing the comic anyway... might get back to it again in 6 months.

i've just been far too busy with school lately, usually try to play on the weekends, but even that has been difficult to manage time-wise lately. Will probably be on more often soon though (will be finishing this semester in may and graduating in august :) )
