Always a First Time
So now someone is impersonating me? And I just got kicked from a 2v2 , and called a rage-quitter. I am a player in good standing, I never ragequit. Win or loose. The game was a 2v2 with Dooms Day,Anders Brevik,Project Pluto,Jax Jace.

No,I prided myself on never giving up the battlefield. no matter the personnel insults put to me,or if was zeroed out or called a noob. Hell I still am a noob. But to go the whole game and still fight on with some units is fun to me. win or loose you can count on me too stay. Have there been a reason I had to cut a game short, yes but I have stated" I had to go"said GG and that I forfeit. But that is very rare. and in those cases its on diplo never on 2v2.

I concur it was not like you to nuke your partner: i figured you were drunk or something!
I wouldn't worry about it too much, theres lots of weirdness at the moment and once all people involved see this message your rep will be intact
If it's any consolation Jax Jace quit, and in another game TOM had a connection problem and dissapeared.
Me and Dooms played 1v1 which was great for any specs "the two slowest players in defcon"!
90 minutes of nailbitingly slow orders in RT........... but looks good at speed 100000 X 10
LFO::1v1 TotallyRandom : 2012-10-31 03:57:44 - 05:12:44
1 Anders Breivik (146)
2 Dooms Day (112)
Red wins with 146 : 112

Love this - you should repost on strategic command as HAW HAW's tips for Noobs.

Seems so. The imposter ID is 3118901, whereas your ID is 42533.
As a result of this rash of imposters screwing up games, we must all be careful to avoid jumping to conclusions prematurely. No need to be kicking players from games until you know all the facts.
Next step: secret challenge/answer codewords to verify you are who you say you are.

Thank You Tobias For looking that information up and for standing up for me in game last night!

So our friend ID 3118901 strikes again. This time he impersonated Ander Breivik (sic), and he again nukes his ally (Pluto Project). Here's the recording: http://sfcon.demoszenen.de/dcrec/2012-1 ... _01.37.zip
I watched that game go down.
Immediately after, a new game formed up, and Pluto Project joined it. Sensing something was going to go awry in this game also, I joined it too, and pm'd Pluto to ally me. The other two players were Son of MOR and Lord Haw Haw. Game started, Pluto allied me, and soon thereafter, a slew of curses arose from Lord Haw Haw. Obviously, this was not the real Lord Haw Haw, but the imposter again. So we were successful in fishing him out, and he quit.
BUT, what intrigues me here, is: 1) why did Son of MOR (ID 432986) immediately join in on the name calling at Pluto Project in the first game? and 2) why did our imposter quit when he could have just nuked his current ally as usual, in this case, Son of MOR? My conclusions from this second game is that while ID 3118901 may be jerk number 1, it seems possible that ID 432986, as a friend of the imposter, and someone he did not wish to nuke, may be jerk number 2. Here's the recording of the second game: http://sfcon.demoszenen.de/dcrec/2012-1 ... _02.07.zip
That ID 432986 may also be involved is curious to me since I've played him before (aka Phill), and he's a decent player.
Regardless, that's two strikes for ID 3118901, and a big giant reg flag sticking from the butt of ID 432986.

Three strikes for ID 3118901 : http://defcon.lfo.fi/dcrec/2012-11/2v2t ... _18.48.zip
I also believe he set a new record low score of -298.

Four strikes: http://sfcon.demoszenen.de/dcrec/2012-1 ... _18.32.zip
Sorry Lord Haw Haw - it's as Tobias said. I'd just left a 2v2 that was ruined when my ally - the imposter using your name - nuked me then got all shouty and abusive, so when you joined i assumed it was them come to taunt me further.
Been away from defcon for a while so wasn't up to speed on who the current characters are. I apologise for ignoring you and getting you kicked for nothing you'd done and not even giving you a chance to argue your case.

woe woe woe
I had been working hard at Anders Breiviks reputation (sic)
CE's reign of terror is not over yet it seems.
You know what, we have all seen this kind of tomfoolery before and apart from banning his IP address (which is actually deady easy to mask) there seems nothing that can be done if he wants to keep adding to introversions coffers by buying new keyids.
Its annoying but at the end of the day its not like our nicknames are Trade Marks so no point in getting annoyed.
What I suggest is just ignore it, weather the storm he will eventually get bored and start greifing elsewhere.
Also last week me and R3D were messing about a bit and I thought he was CE and he gave me a peice of info only me and him know. So i knew i really was partnered with the real R3D.
If something seems strange about the player you know I suggest you do similar to identify them.
In my sick Troll way I think its kinda cool we have someone so wound up they won't give up! And i also enjoy the extra level of "I wonder if it is the real R3D" makes the cold war antics seem more real to me...
