This sounds just like all the suicides I've ever known.

An obliquely-worded note, a sad picture, and then tidying up of affairs so as to minimize the inconvenience of the survivors.

You guys really should have done more to prevent this.

Even if admin would take the initiative it would be illegal for her internet provider to give away name and exact adress with present evidence. You can track to the house only, if lucky. (I think it is always illegal for most of providers unless you have governmental mandate on that, e.g. you are working in net crime police dep). Still, you can bribe someone in provider's company who has access to user database.

Meanwhile I'm thinking more and more about using the TOR regularly. (edit: sure its not failsafe, yet requires some more job to track a user).

It isn't that difficult to track an IP to a house. A simple google search can actually track an ip down to an exact address.
