Is this funny? Or does it offend you?

When I saw the gif first time it was funny; the most, uhm, 'offending' part is a little piece of butt. It doesn't offend me.

The only reason we have this requirements is so that the ancient craptastic computer Zorotama uses AT WORK won't allow for him to upgrade.

So we have hundreds of people that are fine but we need to bow to the needs of ancient technology from a guy who barely plays anyways?

C'mon is right. We don't have to tear everything down to build a handicap ramp for one person do we?

I'd look at ALL of the other forums hosted on this server, and LOOK at everyone's avatar, before we pursue this topic any further.

Live and let live man, don't fight everyone on this.

Yes it is funny, but is also rude, childish, vulgur, distasteful, unclever, low resolution gif that is an unoriginal meme being spread around the net by drones of lazy internet zombies.
It doesn't offend me but I wouldn't have posted it myself because it doesn't belong on this forum.

Yeah, I guess it's a good thing they didn't make me moderator, or I would have banned him. And Zoro is right, resize your stupid avatar.

No, we all don't need to change to suit Zoro's work computer. Go find something else to be angry about that's actually worth it.

your avatar is not stupid? it is looking so bad! and i have never said he isn`t right. but calling me an idiot is stupid.
edit: not zoro is right! bert and schubi are right. zoro never said something about my avatar size or i have never seen it.
and rofl, i am also pissed now, but there are forum rules. maybe someone can change that outdated avatar size rule?!

You know you can resize pictures and they even will look better than what the browser was doing before, right?
Like so:
Image
I don't expect you to understand the other reasons, but this one should be in your own best interest. Especially once the avatars are more than twice their display size, browser scaling just looks icky.

Standard forced avatar resize program initiated for roflamingo. Next expected step: he changes his avatar to turtles getting it on (which I'll have to accept) or another/the same oversized avatar (which I'll have to delete again).

Small violations (<120 pixels) usually go unnoticed by everyone; the browser scaling isn't so bad then and even for broken browsers, the layout isn't harmed too much.

And yeah, do initiate a request to change avatars. It would be easiest if the forums would just allow uploaded avatars, there size restrictions (for file size, too, which is even more important for some users) can be enforced. I wasn't around back when the forums were set up, so I can only guess why we only have offsite avatars enabled. Server performance before anything else, probably. Remember the search feature getting disabled regularly during peak hours? Maybe it is time for a reevaluation.
