Quick road trip to some archives last week, but got to make a brief visit to the Air and Space Museum's storage shed out in Virginia.

Just got back from a long trip to the beach. Last year I was able to watch the Sea Fighter perform some maneuvers in the ocean, this year I got to see (by chance) two F-22's doing the same over the ocean. I think I saw two F-18's as well, but didn't have my binoculars at the time.

It was Bike Week the last few days we were there, so a ton of bikers were around. I saw some nice ones, even one covered in red fur (which was pretty cool). I thought this one was the funniest though... (we were staying away from the main area, so no noise at night)

Edit: Forgot, if anybody can point out any constellations, that'd be awesome.

The small collection of stars above the moon looks like Pleiades. A good site to check out is Sky Survey, if you can remember roughly which directions you were facing when the photos were taken.
...Talking of stars, and space, and, erm blonde wigs, a new series of Red Dwarf (series 10) has started on Dave (the TV Channel, not some poor geezer's back). It was filmed in front of a studio audience (unlike that 3 part special...), so it's actually quite funny.

I had heard about that but had not had a chance to watch them yet. I rectified that last night and would agree, they actually did a decent job, especially considering the giant time difference. The only flaw I could see was Chris Barrie's hair (age showing). :P Otherwise, kept the same characters, same actors, same character history, same theme song, just updated the ship interiror.

One minor nitpick; they change the screensaver showing on all the monitors. :P

The second episode was pure Red Dwarf (effects of a [previous] time paradox).

Drove up to the ancestral lands in Connecticut from New York today. Took some backroads, which took me by this special place. I would have stopped to take some proper shots of the abandoned asylum featured in the first two, but I was in a hurry!

The bridge was important in our early history, and this incarnation of it was built in the 1840s (it's been modified over the years).

sometimes i am lucky to live in Germany. looks like not only the german peoples can build stable buildings, the storks,too! :lol: :P and your nice try to distract the red silo target markers is a fail. :lol: :P
