How long have you all been playing?

I've played for 1.3 years I think... I think I started last year January.

about 08 but i bought the game in 09. started playing "competitively" around end of 10 (when i joined forum)

I first started playing this game December of 06 and January of 07. I stopped playing until I picked is back up four years later in Last December of '11. School and sports got in the way. But now Hopefully I will be playing for much longer time. A lot more people are playing then back then haha.

I first started playing this game at March 2008 but stopped around January 2010 und came back at November 2011.

I started summer of '08, left it for a year, came back spring '09, left it for half a year untill '10. Haven't taken a break longer than a month since. A couple of months ago it was a game every day for weeks on end. Now I play at least a couple times a month (pace slowed recently, busy with Real Life).

Bought it around January 2010. Played a few noob games against the CPU and a friend and then left it for awhile. Judging from SFCON and some old screenshots I found, it looks like I started playing in September 2010. Moved from diplo to real games around spring 2011.

I only played on the normal battlefield, but I was already known to some players like Acer Rimmer (Daddy Ace) or MVPE who called me "Knackwurst".
At that time MVPE was in heap a of trouble in the forum. Smth about porn pics. I also was the one and only Radiant C devotee.
Xocrates opened Defcon School and Skynet77812 was the first official ***hole. JESUS, Homeowner, Mojo, Hyperion, RC, Ace and so on were the players who ruled the game. But I was just a noob and never dared to join a tourney like KOTH.
End of July 2007 I had to move to a different city. For some time I had no internet. My break lasted some months. When I started to play again, The Burschi Forever Young (before his break) arranged a game between me and Stiffy. He broke my Star. I think I started to play more seriously after that.
My first tour was 2vs2 S4 in 2009. In these weeks I learned more mostly from Nightwatch and Mrmot than in the years before.
After that tour I was no easy game anymore.

Bought game at the end of 08 or in 09, played few games, then abandoned it until 2011. Then I reinstalled Defcon, played mostly diplo and 1v1s. Carebear was the first who introduced me into forum and told me about mods. Then I played mostly (apart from random people) with Bear and Moth, rarely - with R3D. In February 2012 kudayta decided that I'm good enough to have password for league server.

Started in end of 2008. But after buying the retailed game i waited - by watching - a few weeks before playing - I remember the first game (diplomatie mode) and this feeling of paranoïa when BATTLTRON sticked his silos with mine (he was europa and me russia). After a clear agressive warning i attacked him and we burned everything we had on each other:

Me: - "What are you doing with your silos? They are too close, go away from my frontiers!" (probably in a so poor english that he doesnt' understood as well)
BT: - " (english speaking - not understandable for me - probably explaining what was his strategy)"
Me: - "Take care or... french insults" (placing 12 subs)
BT: - " ????? whooooooot? No no no...."
(Defcon 3 to defcon 1 - speaking: dialogue of the deafs - of course no more watching what the other players were doing ^^)
(Defcon 1 - firing everything...)

BT: - "Now you're happy?"
Me: - "I'm not happy i told you not to do that"
