To all interested: I am not fake. Proofs ? There are plenty (I mean it) of relatively recent recordings with my games where I played worse. (There is also one with Groeteschele - Eu-Rus; I lost badly then).
Wrong thread Can't believe you played til end and gave me massive negative score *sniff*
Laika, I am around tonight
I just realised Laika got knocked out in the group stages! Yet here we are!
Guess it was a bad idea to compile stats in one post.
Laika - 2
Jon - 0
Laika - 2
Jon - 0

With two exceptions, all the people who are still in the tournament are around and actively playing pub games. It can't be that hard to organize your tournament matches. If Care Bear and Zoro are out I suggest we just have Jon play Blackout. That will make the next round uneven, but we'll can give one player a bye and move on with it. We can draw for that or give it to the person with the best record.
Mrmot vs Broset Stalin
Tobias vs Nukeraine
Schubduse vs Taz
Jon vs Blackout
Play your damn games!
I`m left defcon too.Let my Russian comrad Laika play instead of me.

soz you are right
Anyway, that's the final nail in the coffin for me. Between the bungled group stage and the various players "retiring" mid-way through this was already a bit of a joke. It has been almost three months now, for what should be a very simple tournament. If we are going to run a bracketed tournament there has to be some sort of schedule/deadline for each stage. Also a stricter vetting of participants. Saying "in" on the thread and then making no effort to play should incur some sort of broader penalty.
I think timezones is important to be considered. The most successful one I was in was the 2v2 where you just turned up and there were random alliances.
