First the rules, subject to change at any time:
Games must be played in all default settings to count (use the include bossN command on sfcon), players must be signed up or at least send me request to join in server chat, thread, or pm. All other rules are standard Ace rules (voids, drops, name usage, etc, you should know them by now).
Players can choose the territories if they wish and if all aren't agreed and all are ok to restart the game, that is fine. Please don't abuse this rule. Treat it with respect by either choosing territories pre-game or by agreeing to restart or not pre-game if you're going to roll the dice (let server choose). Bosses that request restart due to unfavorable setups on their part are auto-shamed. (no point loss, just reputation, you're a 'master' of all setups, right? right)
Challengers:
To become a Boss when we have this tourney again, simply maintain a 65% win ratio against the Bosses. There will be a (1) minimum number of games played requirement and a (2) minimum number of Bosses played against requirement, yet to be determined.
You can do this in 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3, or in some combo as long as 1 and 2 above are met. Play (MOR), Ace, and rus|Mike only in 1v1 games and win 64.9% of the time, you stay a challenger. Win 65% or greater, and next tourney you're a Boss automatically. Play (MOR), Ace, rus|Mike and Nightwatch in 1v1 and 2v2 and win 65% or greater, auto-boss, 64.9% or less, well as the saying goes "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades".
Bosses:
To lose your Boss status for the next time around (shame!) all that is required is to lose 25.1% of the time (or more) total. I won't break this down into 1v1 only, or 2v2 only etc. 75% is for your total games, no matter the number of players. E.g. play 25 1v1s and 15 2v2s and 1 3v3, you must win 75%, or 31 out of 41) to keep your status.
Points:
Bosses start at 100.
Challengers start at 0 (zero).
Points awarded per player:
1v1 = 10
2v2 = 5
3v3 = 3
For every five games played, regardless of NvN, player (Boss or challenger) receives a bonus of 10 points. 100 is the limit, nobody can go over. Zero is the floor, nobody can go under. No negative scores or 500 points.
Prizes
$25/€17.33/£15.55 for 1st place Challengers
1st place goes to the person with the best win record (not points). There will be a minimum number of games and minimum number of bosses played against requirement, yet to be determined.
$5/€3.47/£3.11 for 1st place Bosses
1st place goes to the person with the best win record (not points). There will be a minimum number of games and minimum number of challengers played against requirement, yet to be determined.
Trophy! I am making a personalized trophy for the best player out of the entire group, to be decided by win record.
NOTE: I will weigh higher numbers of games played over better %. E.g. 20/20/0:50% (W/L/D) > 10/10/0:50% or even 11/9/0:55% Notice the number of games for 20/20 (40) is double 11/9 (20), which I consider to be more accurate. If a player becomes an extreme outlier, that factor will be ignored. That is, the average number of games = 40 and somebody manages to get 75 while the next highest is 50, the number of games played will not weigh as heavy or at all.
A special 'moral victory' prize of $2.50/€1.73/£1.56 for the challenger that appears to make the best attempt at playing for Boss status, regardless of outcome.
The point is to encourage everybody to play while not playing simply to rack up the largest number of games in order to 'win'.
Please, Please, Please have good sportsmanship. Win and lose like men/women, not children. :p
Sportsmanship expresses an aspiration or ethos that the activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors. Being a "good sport" involves being a "good winner" as well as being a "good loser.
Suggestions and opinions welcome, argument are not.

Your explanation doesn't give much of reasons to play 3v3. A challenger needs to unfold more effort and to have more luck for winning in 3v3 just for 3 bloody points? It's far from balance with effort and luck needed for winning in 1v1 and getting 10 points.
My suggestion (considering the 100 points goal) is to have 10 for 1v1, 15 for 2v2 and 20 for 3v3 (for each challenger) or similar ratio.

I'll consider that change, however 3v3 is by far much more fun than 2v2, or even 1v1 when you have 6 decent non-rage quitting players.
In other news, I think I'm going to alter the prize rules for challengers as such:
1st place goes to the best win record overall or 1v1 if nobody can do well in 2v2.
