Defcon Soundtrack Tracks on Steam

Greetings,

Trying to figure out what the deal is with tracks for the Defcon soundtrack on Steam.

All docs and the liner notes show the Decon Soundtrack has three tracks:
1. Fear - 9:23
2. Madness - 9:47
3. Loss - 13:45

Total: 32:55

The Soundtrack from Steam has 8 unlabeled tracks:
1. Track 1 - 2:33
2. Track 2 - 3:38
3. Track 3 - 5:24
4. Track 4 - 4:26
5. Track 5 - 5:55
6. Track 6 - 10:15
7. Track 7 - 4:08
8. Track 8 - 9:34

Total: 45:53

I've done a listening comparison with a posted copy of the 3 track soundtrack on YouTube and Steam Track 1 is identical to begin with but the tracks diverge after about 1:30 or so.

I've done a thorough search and can't find any info for my simple questions:
1. What is the story with the Steam soundtrack in relation to the 3 track sound track?
2. What are the names of the tracks for the Steam soundtrack?

Any help or pointers appreciated.
