Whatever happened to Defcon DS?

I recently stumbled upon the announcement topic of Defcon DS, and I was wondering where it stands as of now, It's already August, and nothing has surfaced about the release... Is Defcon DS dead?

Nothing new has been published, so it's safe to assume it's still in an unspecified 'almost finished' state waiting for a publisher to pick it back up.

More like 'on hold'. A good thing about console projects is that they can be in that state without much harm for a long time, they only turn dead once the target console dies. Which is unlikely to happen in the next three years or so for the DS.
