So, took a look at the stats and ratings through game 26 and noticed something interesting.
1520 Nightwatch 4-0-0
1519 Cinderella 5-1-0
That one loss (MOR) took was from Nightwatch, and hurt him. Even with one more win than the Mighty Night, (MOR) is still ranked lower, which makes sense.
4-0 = 5-1 (Wins = 5-1 + Loss = 1-1). Add to that the fact that the canceling out loss was from the other 4-0, 4-0 is now > 5-1. Moral of the story? Defeat the big players as often as you can.

What do you mean by "tricks"? If you mean stat padding, that's frowned upon, a lot.
