I’m looking to rip my personal DVD collection to add to my Plex server. Inquiring about a good, hopefully free, DVD ripping software.
Thanks in advance.

MakeMKV almost has consensus around here as the best. Its value is in its decryption, really. Very good at that. Rips everything to disc-level lossless, so no loss of quality at all. It's free if you are only going to be ripping DVDs, but if you have Blu-rays, you can use the beta for a week or so, and then will cost you $50. Worth every cent though. I don't "download," so I've been ripping for close to ten years, and it's the best one I've tried, and I've ripped close to 500 movies (probably 2/3 Blu-ray, 1/3 DVD), and about 12 full series of TV shows (about a 50/50 mix of DVD vs Blu).
Another cool thing, if you go to "Preferences > Integration," you can set MakeMKV as your decrypter for VLC Player, so if you also have Java already installed, you can actually open Blu-ray discs in VLC Player, just like you can with a commercial optical disc reader for your TV.
So yeah, MakeMKV rocks.

Not too long ago, I embarked on a quest to discover a platform offering a variety of DVD software for download. Alas, this proved to be quite the challenge in today's age, with DVDs falling out of favor among the masses. Thankfully, a dear friend came to my aid, suggesting I explore the realm of DVD2DVD where I could
download video online. Trusting their counsel, I took the plunge, and without a hint of remorse, I can now attest to the plethora of remarkable DVD software available on this very website, deserving of your undivided attention.
