TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All games must take place on the 'March 2021 Tournament' dedicated servers. The servers are passworded with the phrase: 'Discord'.
2. The tournament is single knockout. Each player is eliminated after losing their first match. A match consists of two consecutive games, with the territories swapped. The winner of the match is determined by adding up the scores over both games: the winner has the highest sum of scores. The winner of the tournament is the player who doesn't lose any matches.
3. Territories are assigned at random for the first game of any match. If both players agree at the beginning of the first game, they may restart the game once for the chance of a different territory configuration.
4. Cities are default! There will be 25 cities per territory for a total of 100M population.
5. Failure to appear within 30 minutes of the scheduled game time will be counted as a loss.
6. Following a drop, the game will be paused until the dropped player returns.
7. If the dropped player fails to return (15 minutes of failed reconnections), the players may agree to reschedule, restart, or settle the game as they choose.
8. Space bombers are a big, BIG no no. Do not put bombers in space, on pain of death (and posthumous disqualification).
9. Blind-nuking is permitted.
10. Absolutely no ghosting, cheating, or funny business.
11. In case the number of participants is not a power of two, a bye will be awarded to the player with the highest total score so far.
