64-bit build of DEFCON access?

Greetings all,

I bought DEFCON way back in the Ambrosia days. Is there any way to get access to the 64-bit build? I was going through old stuff on my archive drives, clearing out things that were never going to be updated to 64-bit, and I thought DEFCON fell into that category until I found this site. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Hey,

Same here. Have a hardcopy from 2008 with CD-Key. Tried to set up a match last night. Was denied by MacOS.

Would it be a problem to put a 64-Bit demo on the Introversion HP, where we can download and unlock it with our keys?
(Like in the good old days? - Or just let us have a download link)

THX & Best Regards

Maj. Kong

Maybe we could produce one with the source code that was released?
Does the old Introversion storefront still exist? :/

The source code for the macOS versions of any Introversion Software games was never released (update: it seems Darwinia and Multiwinia can be built for macOS from the source code, but I didn't attempt to actually build them).

I doubt Introversion Software cares much about non-Steam players anymore (because it seems almost all new players come from Steam and money is the only motivation for supporting old games). E.g. on GOG.com there is a warning it won't run on newer macOS versions and a large part (including the storefront and important downloads like patches or DEFCON/Multiwinia games) of the official website was taken down permanently. But Steam 64-bit build is available, and I'm not sure if you could make it work by downloading DEFCON demo from Steam and inserting your key.

But if you want to purchase the source code repository access anyway, it is available here (the link was obtained from here).

Update: installing this one may help however.
