In the case of ladder games, just the players. In the case of arranged games, the continents can be set before hand.
I'm either counting that Pox fixes the predict-o-mat to allow for odds just for the players or I'll manually calculate the odds. Option c is that the odds will be calculated using the most fair continent setting.

The fact is, why would you compare win ratios against arbitrary players when you can simply look at the player v player history? Methinks you should rewrite the formulas to take into account "HWR" (historical win ratio over other player). I could easily supply that value (tweaked closer to 50% if there are few games between the players logged) if I knew how to incorporate it... I just can't be bothered devising the math at this point.

I could do that, probably. However I thought that half the fun of the predict-o-mat was to see how well it fit with the real values. Using predicted vs real values on this ladder would allow players to metagame.
But since the consensus is that they want the predict-o-mat as accurate as possible, I'll look into it.
In other news, the interest in this ladder seems to be rather low, you guys want to go foward with this and hope more folk joins win, consider that there is enough people, or think it is a silly idea and we should stop?
