Server oh server, where art thou?

Is it me, or are there barely any servers? And where are Berts servers? They only seem to appear now and again.

Whats going on? :(

Well, at some point during the night (GMT) berts servers do disappear to reset or something, then they come back. This is nothing new, I'm guessing since you're in Australia, that maybe you stumbled upon that time frame.

I have this happen fairly often, usually due to connection issues.

Hmm, my logs give no indication that anything is wrong with my servers (and I haven't changed the configuration in a while), there are sporadic games at just about any time of the day. The mentioned reset is at 12:00 GMT (noon), and no new servers are started in the 10:00 GMT to 12:00 GMT period. Between 11:00 and 12:00, there are no visible DedCon Test servers.

Perhaps it is packet loss on the way from the metaserver to you? Perhaps you should come to the IRC channel next time you're missing some servers and ask around whether anybody else sees them, so we can determine whether it's a metaserver problem or a problem with the servers themselves or just a problem with your time zone ;)
