In today's Defcon news...

In developing news, it seems that John has taken some action towards the moderators. This is what he had to say: "I'm so sick of the drama that surrounds the Defcon community. They are like 16 year old girls, and biker gangs. They think they deserve attention, when in reality, no one cares about them. But some action must be taken. I like what Kudayta has done, but obviously conservatism and simply the facts do not matter anymore. You have to do what the people want and it has to be politically correct. I have stripped him of his ability to ban users, but kept all other responsibilities. I have done the same with Laika. DTNC Vicious will be the sole admin for Defcon, and his powers will spread across all forums. I made sure that DTNC Vicious understands that I am not to be disturbed from my slumber with this petty shit. If I have to come in and clean house, everyone gets banned. So if you smell what the boss is cooking, try me Zorotama."

John is most likely referring to recent comments by Zorotama demanding he respond, and take action. This development however is a big win for the Euro players. Though they will likely complain that they wanted Kudayta gone completely, they have to be somewhat happy with the results.

In other news...

The Group 6 server sale with one prospective buyer, MAX the MASTER, has fallen through. The G6 owners were looking for a big payday at $18 a server, and were keen on having a renown player like Max take over their duties, his offer came up well short. The offer was reportedly in the $.50 to $1 range. When asking Max about why he undershot them, he responded, "They had a clause in their contract that I must keep the game types, and essentially all options the same. I'm not owning some fruity, shitty servers like that."
As reported before, there are still several prospective buyers. Most notably, Senator (trickser).
