In today's Defcon news...

After reporting on the unconfirmed rumors of the Group 6 server sale, we were able to get in contact with one potential buyer, however he wished his name to be kept anonymous until the deal was finalized. "I am definitely interested in taking over proprietary ownership of Group 6. I wasn't able to get in on the creation with them, so I created my own servers. My servers have been played by Elite players who wish to kill as many people as possible. I think new ownership with Group 6 could take them to the very top of server ownership." Despite attempts by Atomic oracle to corral the buy rumors, more and more people are talking about it. The finalization of this epic sale is imminent.



In other news...

John, one of IV's founders, was spotted online today. It is unknown if he addressed the Election with Defcon's resident admin Vicious, but he was definitely present on the Defcon Board. It will be interesting to see if he is going to respond publicly, or continue to have Vicious be his lap dog to take the brunt of the punishment from the Euro players.





Also...

In a continued squabble with the Euro players, noted American Endless called for a petition to ban Zorotama today. While this was likely called for out of just anger, it does spark what could be a new revolution in forum moderation. Will this particular movement gain any traction? Probably not. But it may set a precedent for future punishments to be held publicly, like a digital trial and stoning.
