Moderators Abuse of Power

I come sometimes at night (for me GMT+1) and sometimes on the day. Except Vic, i've seen nobody under his real nick playing instead arguing, for a long time.

So my beauties. Do we do this championship edition? Do you want to make defcon live for a little longer time? All this grudge has to fall down on the battelfield.

Moderator's place have been created, i though, to ensure the dedicated servers and prevent them from any trolling shits (like using fighters to destroy nukes or abusing BOR strategy, ghosting, deviant play like attacking partner etc... here and during the games or/and animate the forum) and keep it fair. I really don't understand what happens to you buddies (the sicilian isn't present anymore). (ok i dont' come often in the forum that's right).

This has been addressed in another thread. The forums and the game are different entities. You can't punish someone on the forums for what happens in the game.

I've been playing Defcon since 8 years and browsing the forums about as long. In my time here I have never seen this level of conflict between members and moderators. What changed was some moderators steadily overstepping their boundaries and letting their power go to their heads. And by the way this consequence is entirely the creation of the moderators also, they could have handled this in hundreds of ways, but they chose the most melodramatic one possible.

Do you have any reasons why Baton should be unbanned?

I believe we disagree on some fundamental things. The ban of Zorotama/Baton was heavily criticized by the majority of the members. If you disagree with it you are at odds with the will of the community.

I think if you unban baton, you introduce a completely new firestorm. It would create a snowball effect that essentially all of your prior decisions come under fire. People will clamor for Sicilian to be reinstated, or even Conflict Europe. I mean if you did it for one spammer/rule breaker then you might as well as do it for all. You won't be able to decipher between any of them because they were essentially punished for the same thing.

Think about it before you do that.

I know that pattern from 2012. The spammers/abusers/trolls would ask for rules and generalized threatment just so they would know what to exploid. It is pretty easy to spot.

Baton is part of the community. He spammed to fight the unjustice he received by being forcefully removed from the forums. CE and other dickheads which might be out there don't want to be part of us, not genuinely, it is just more comfortable for them to abuse us that way.

There is no reasonable way to threat them equaly.


I see 2 alternatives how we can resolve it:
a) Baton gets unbanned
b) Kudayta will be removed and Baton gets unbanned

Two days ago, Baton was waiting on muricon public chat server and kud joined.
Baton didn`t say anything.
Then kud started kicking Baton out of the server.

Kudayta pays for muricon. Baton has said some pretty choice things to us in game lobby's. So if he wants to kick him from Muricon, that's absolutely fine.
