I wonder in what way the world would differ if humans would remember more when they mistreated others then when they have been mistreated. (More on a personal level, celebrate your national pain days as you wish)

I'm more interested in how humanity would differ from as we know it to follow this philosophy.

I could contstruct a few examples where it would makes sense to do so, but in general you are right. ("why would they?, was your former reply) Therefor I asked about the consequences.

Yeah I realised after a bit my previous reply didn't really contribute.

Taking prisoner's dilemma as an analogy, I think since your opponent is more likely to cooperate as there is more stress put on him from hurting your feelings, you'd pick "cooperate" option more often as well.

Okay, so let's see, both the passive and the active part (victim or offender) hurts your feelings. But you are more willing to forget your own fault since you cannot revert what you did wrong, but remembering what you recieved gives you some hope for justice maybe?

That would be a world where justice can only be done by punishment and the offender has no chance to actively lower his fault.

So to have an environment where your own fault is more important to remember it would have to be reversed somehow. Punishment does not serve justice and one can lower his own fault by his future choices.

Honestly the American media makes a big fuss about evrything they want and they totaly ignore important stuff. Great example is 9/11.

What im saying is the US media overreacts on simple things. Im not saying 9/11 was simple but they did overreact. I mean seriously there were WAY MORE disasters and also terrorist attacks also larger in magnitude than 9/11, like the Boxing day earthquake, 2011 tsunami on Japan, Bhopal disaster, Haiti earthquake, 2008 Bombay attacks and so on. Basicly the American media overreacts to simpel things maby even add in a thing or two to get more ratings and that means getting more money. Serously Huricane Katrina is more known than the Haiti earthquake and if you check the numbers youll find out what i meant by that.

I respect your opinion Slo! But I will have to disagree with you, yes some of those natural disasters were completely terrible and many people died like with the Tsunami and Haiti earthquakes etc... But as an American living here in New York close to NYC or any American anywhere really all those natural disasters or attacks don't measure even close when it comes to 9/11. And I mean why should they? Yes, all those attacks/disasters were terrible but they didn't happen in our country, and they still all got a lot of attention on the media when it happened. Also the USA gave a lot more aid than any of country when it comes to the Tsunami relief and Haiti relief, so to say we don't take it seriously is wrong on every level. 9/11 changed everything on a global scale and to say otherwise is kinda stupid, or to say it wasn't as important or severe is laughable also. They took down the biggest landmark in NYC, flew a plane into the Pentagon and another plane crashed in PA thanks to the brave guys on board who stopped the terrorist fucks. Them taking down the Twin Towers would be like Terrorists flying a plane into the Eiffel Tower, or Big Ben, Parliament building or any other huge landmark in a country. I think you should get the point now.
