Quality of ladder players

Postby Angel of Death » Fri Nov 16, 2007 3:46 pm

I have dropped the ladder now 2 times over the past 6 months. The first time was because I did not have the time to play with the different time zones. (Me USA GMT-5 and GMT players) The second time was because I was on a serious losing streak. :x I have not stopped playing the game however. Under a different name I have continued to play and have won 3/4 of my games. Just ask Joshua  AKA Crystal Palace. During those games I have seen what "ladder" players do that others do not. Just some of the tactics used in the ladder are a little more advanced. Granted I have played some Very good players that would give the guys a run for there money. I wish I had the time to rejoin, but I dont have that luxury. I would like to play some of you guys from time to time if you ever get a chance. 8)

Heh... and this slight adavance actually gives me 98% of wins aginst non-ladder players :P other 2% are just a matter of bad luck :? True, there's nothing godlike in a pro player, he is just more willing to win and acheives it by attention, concentration, focus and experience.

It's four letters and a punctuation mark, actually ;) And who said the purpose was abbreviation?

Generally, that's what an apostrophe in the middre of a word replacing a letter is for. ;)

You will be sad to learn, then, that in the internet you have found the land of exceptions.

but seriously, I've never seen "fix'd" anywhere but this forum - is it a private meme or something? :P

Yeah, I guess. It's more obviously playful than "fixed", which gets a lot of use, and as such is useful. It seems ScareyedHawk is/was the most active purveyor of the "fix'd" meme, so maybe it's imported from the dark 4chan-esque corners of the internet which he frequents. Also, thread derailment FTW.
