Seems to me the Clerk wouldn't be removed due to his/her religious belief, but rather because the Governor felt the law wasn't being faithfully executed or the Judge Executive didn't think the Clerk in question was qualified for the job.

Sure, but that would still be termination via religious beliefs.

Same as it would be if she were fired for not marrying a mixed race couple. You can claim religious beliefs to support any stupid idea. But the law is the law on this now, and her job is to uphold that law. There are not going to be very many sympathetic judges out there to help her along with a wrongful termination case. And even if she did, it wouldn't make it to the Supreme Court for a few years when it's likely the court will be swinging back to the Left.

No, that would be termination for not doing his or her job. It doesn't matter *why* the clerk isn't doing their job---if they aren't doing it, then they can and should be removed from office.

I definitely agree with you both. I'm just going by what my fellow Kentuckian's are going to say, sue, bitch about.

Oh yes, that will certainly be the case, and not just from your fellow Kentuckians. Mouth breathing twits exist all over America. But only four of them sit on the Supreme Court of the United States today.

Just think, when Trump wins, we'll have 5 mouth breathing twits! One of those liberal hippie douches will "retire."
