I don't think I understood exactly what a 2v2 ladder team tourney was all about, please pardon me in my rush to support a friend. Someone should explain exactly what the ladder system is? Could I find my self say, on a team with a point hogger, who has no problem sticking me with the slugfest, whilst he takes all the fat cities? He wins the game, and advances up the ladder?

It's already been said here, that one of the reasons these things fail, is the time zone issue and the lack of commitment from players. Again I do think I misunderstood what the 2v2 ladder thingy is. I would suggest, that we form teams along nation or continental lines, in example two or three American teams here in the states and two or three European teams across the pond. Maybe soccer is a good example? If we are looking for a way to get games played, and keep them getting played till the end. Then lets inject a bit of good old fashioned nationalism. I think that I could find 5 American players, players that I know and are reliable enough, that if they say they can play, I am set. If my suggestion is not the direction this thread was going. Well then,Ok.

I like the idea of 2 massive teams, say 10 to 12 each, and any two players can play anytime. use a point system like the one described earlier. Play till first team reaches 100 points, no time limit. USA ve EUR would be fun except the EUR team would be like where they live, old, tired and crumbling.

USA USA USA lol . Actually that is a interesting concept to do USA vs EU players. The issue is I think most of the active players right now are from the USA and only a couple from EU who are active and actually good.

I bet on europe since we have expirience plus ancient knowledge in the oposite to americans who only know this world trough their little and short(and sweet ) history where they have alot to learn in the future.
