May as well join in the fun. Dragging down the scores of better players is what I'm all about baby! :D

This is really the same as 1v1 in terms of scoring, it's 2(team kills)-team losses. You just have to do some of the addition yourself.

I don't think we'll get too much shinybonsai, since it won't be of any benefit. You can't do it to your team-mate since you'd only get collateral, and you sure as hell don't want to try it with the enemy since it gets you no closer to first.

I'd be interested in 2vs2, with Angel of Death as my teammate ;)

I'll sign up. 2v2 would make for some fun times.

Can't think of anything comical this time so I'll just have to quote the first line of the All Blacks' Haka:

'Ka Mate! Ka Mate! Ka Ora! Ka Ora!"

(translation: "I Die! I Die! I Live! I Live!")

Take Care

/me loves the All Blacks. Despite being 100% English. (My dad grew up in NZ, so that explains it)

I am being very cynical about this and i don't wish to be but i still can't see the scoring/points system working on this unless teams stay the same. (which shouldnt be hard to do with only 2 players per team).

My argument being 4 players. The first 3 in the bottom of the table and the other in 3rd place...rather than challenging experienced/better players than himself (the 3rd place player) he accepts to join a game with the bottom end players to win points and put him into 2nd or 1st place. Isn't that kind of cheap? or is that to be allowed? i'm totally confoosed.

Well its not easy for one person's skill to be enough to win a 2vs2 on his own but yeh this is allowwed but in general im sure people are going to want a challenge from matches. The community here isn't exactly one to abuse that kind of game.

Welcome whac 8)

And if anyone wants to team up and have a match this afternoon (it's 14:54 GMT+2 here) just PM me

I've created a network on Hamachi (https://secure.logmein.com/products/ham ... sp?lang=en) so we can easily see which other participants are online.
Feel free to join Def2v2 with password 2v2MAD

shinygerbil make sure to activate chat in hamachi. Otherwise it's quite pointless to sit there ;)

If you can give me better instructions than those which come with the Linux client, I'm all ears. :P

(having done some research, it appears that chat is not available to the Linux client, which doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I'm still not sure why it's been accepted as the standard way to organise matches around here :\ )

I'm in, as is my girlfriend (Abi). I will probably play some games without her and together we will be known as "the annex".

We are both fairly new so the advantage of us sitting next to each other as we play shouldn't be too great.
