Introversion

...what has been up since january? It was fun dominating the game for a few weeks, but I quickly grew bored of all the blatant spamming, threats, sexism and/or racism dominating the servers. It wasn't like that when the game was released. It would however seem like the decline in active Defcon players has contributed to a new sense of sportsmanship and community building in the game and in the forum. Am I right? Or dead mistaken? Update me on Defcon 2013. Is this the time for the return of...

MAX THE MASTER ?

I noticed a dedicated 2v2v2 Server last time I looked on the Metaserver, which might appeal to two friends who want to team up against some decent opposition (if any ever showed up...). I like the format, as you have the pleasure of teamwork as in 2v2, but also ffa type scoring, which is still my favourite shh don't tell anyone.
I think we tested 2v2v2 to be included in a Tourney a few years ago, but it seemed very few participents knew how to play it, and the format was dropped, which made me sad.

Group 6 has a one of a kind thing on Defcon. We have chat filters that will filter out any racist slurs. You may swear like a sailor if you wish, but racist comments are not. Making the game more CIVIL

I think of 1v1/2v2 as like Chess, and 6 player ffa as like a game of Monopoly. Chess is deep, and long lived, but Monopoly is great for a party .

filter seems a bit off to me - still able to cuss cultures pretty well.

Well we have the entire list of known racist slurs from wiki on our filter. from wop to nigger, to fag, to cracker. lol anything you can think of really.
