Two thumbs up; I just tested the compatibility of the Linux and Windows 1.4 beta2, no syncing errors during a whole 1 vs 1 game. The Linux machine uses a P4 and the Windows machine an Athlon XP. I'd also have a mac, but I suppose I'm a bit late to register for beta testing with that, right?

More likely they're changing the network protocol to stop a very obvious way of cheating.

There are several people that have been added since beta testing began. So, there may still be some chance. However, ASW have basically said that they are no longer accepting new beta testers. I suppose that it can't hurt to ask, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Anyway, ASW are shooting for a March release, which means that beta testing is almost done. ;)

Is ASW March anything like Introversion March (i.e. December)? ;)

As far as I know, ASW have never before given a release date. Their release dates are always "It'll be done when it is done."
